BABB’s Upgraded BAX Smart Contract
At last fellow Babbians 🙌
We can finally confirm that our upgraded contract is now fully tested and the snapshot swap is set to happen at midnight connecting June 6 to June 7, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). During the swap, the current (old) BAX will be replaced with the upgraded (new) BAX, using the blockchain balances snapshot at the time. You will still be able to claim your new BAX after this event, however any transactions in old BAX after the swap will be null and void.
Please read through the following instructions carefully if you’re a BAX holder inside or outside the Babb mobile app to learn more about the steps you need to take for a smooth swap.

After receiving confirmations from centralized exchanges, we have a date and time set for the BAX snapshot swap.
The existing (old) BAX contract will become invalid on 6 June 2022 23:59:59 UTC.
The upgraded (new) BAX contract will be activated on 7 June 2022 00:00:00 UTC, this is the midnight connecting June 6 to June 7 in Coordinated Universal Time.
Below are some examples for the equivalent times in selected cities, there are online tools available that calculates the equivalent time in your time zone.

Please use the secure link below to Babb’s web portal to request a priority transfer of new BAX if you are an external holder with balances in decentralised wallets such as MyEtherWallet, Metamask or similar.

Babb WILL NOT ask you to transfer your BAX to any address for the swap.

The priority request portal is only for ERC20 external BAX wallet addresses such as MyEtherWallet, Metamask or any similar.
- You can review your external BAX wallet using blockchain explorers like Etherscan.
- BAX wallet addresses start with 0x….
- Always copy & paste your wallet address instead of typing it.
- Submit one wallet address at a time.
You won’t need to request a priority transaction for your BAX if you’re holding BAX in the Babb platform.
You won’t need to request a priority transaction for your BAX receiving address on the Babb app or for your BAX receiving address on centralised exchanges such as Kucoin, Bittrex or Cointiger.
However, you will need to take action to move your BAX balance outside of smart contracts such as Decentralised Exchanges (DEXs) and Decentralised Liquidity Pools, as Babb CANNOT process airdrops on these contracts. You will need to make sure to remove any existing balance from complicated smart contracts and DEXs before the swap date.
We will communicate with major DEXs such as Uniswap and Sushiswap to inform them about the upcoming swap, however it’s your responsibility to get ready for the swap, as Babb has no control over external smart contracts and can’t be held liable for loss of any tokens due to the swap involving any DEXs. Please get in touch with them if you aren’t sure of the process.
Community FAQs
Q: If I hold BAX in a Metamask wallet is this considered as part of the automated swap with exchanges, or will I have to visit the portal?
A: Metamask wallets are usually standard Ethereum / ERC20 wallets, and not smart contracts. These wallets are also decentralised so the owners of BAX stored in Metamask wallets will need to visit the portal and submit their Metamask addresses.
Q: And what if I hold BAX in a trust wallet?
A: If by “trust wallet” it is referenced to the third-party provider, https://trustwallet.com/ethereum-wallet/ — they appear to be an external wallet provider similar to Metamask. The best way would be the customer to contact “trust wallet” and ask them if their wallet can support ERC20 transactions. If this is the case, the customer will need to visit the portal and submit their wallet address.
Q: And what would happen if I hold BAX in a cold wallet?
A: Cold wallet may have various meanings in different contexts. If this is a hardware wallet such as Trezor, they should work the same way as standard ERC20 wallets, and will require users’ visit the priority portal to submit their wallet addresses.
A: However, some cold wallets may also be complicated smart contracts. Customers are responsible for making sure that the wallet address provided for the priority transfer can receive the new ERC20 BAX token.
Q: And what about BAX holdings on Ledger Wallet?
A: Reference to https://www.ledger.com/erc20-wallet; similar to above, this seems to be a hardware wallet. The customers should contact the provider and make sure the wallet address they provide to Babb supports incoming ERC20 transactions for a new (upgraded) token that they haven’t used before. If the wallet supports this, the customer needs to visit the priority request portal and submit the wallet address holding the BAX.
Q: And BAX on Coinbase wallet?
A: Babb is not listed on Coinbase centralised exchange yet. The only reference is https://www.coinbase.com/how-to-buy/erc20 — as above, the customers should contact this provider and make sure the wallet address they submit to Babb priority request portal supports incoming ERC20 transactions for a new (upgraded) token that they haven’t used before.
Q: What is the status of BAX trading pairs during the swap?
A: While blockchain transactions need to be paused temporarily during the swap period, both Babb app and centralised exchanges intend to provide BAX trading pairs throughout the swap. There may be a brief disruption to trading during the swap, we will provide further updates through socials.

Following the swap, Babb will no longer regard the OLD token as its utility token, the upgraded BAX will replace the utility on all platforms.
What can you expect for the coming days?

In order to facilitate the smart contract swap in Babb’s and centralised exchanges’ blockchain implementations, the deposits and withdrawals will be paused during the swap period which is expected to be between June 6 and June 9.

Babb will save blockchain balances as of 6 June 2022 23:59:59 UTC for airdrop transactions of the upgraded BAX contract. The old BAX will be null and void after the swap point.

Our team will process upgraded (new) BAX transactions starting from the priority requests list from June 7 during UK working hours.

Once the initial airdrop process is complete, Babb and centralised exchanges will resume blockchain operations.
After the initial swap period is over, you will still be able to request priority transfers from the web portal and Babb team will continue processing airdrops in the coming weeks.
Please be aware of scammers and fraudulent parties that might impersonate Babb with duplicate smart contracts. Babb WILL NOT ask you to transfer your old BAX to a wallet address for the swap.
